Please read the important information on this page. This will help you determine if I am a good fit for your needs.

who i WORK WITH

If you are looking for support around grief and loss, physical health issues, burnout, or major life changes and transitions, you have come to the right place. I work with adults (age 18 and older) and families.

I also enjoy working with healthcare professionals and professional and non-professional caregivers who support people experiencing grief/loss, health issues, and trauma.

my office location

My office is located at 6401 Rosemount Drive NW Gig Harbor, Washington 98335

You may park on the gravel drive directly in front of the building, or in the paved driveway. The office entrance is the sliding glass door on the right-hand side of the building. Please ring the bell on the outside of the door to alert me that you have arrived. Once you have done so, please enter and make yourself comfortable in the waiting room. I will be with you shortly. Note: There is no receptionist.

your first appointment

Your first appointment will last 60 minutes. You will have the opportunity to talk about the concerns that are bringing you to counseling. I’ll talk about how I work and answer any questions you may have. We’ll also spend some time talking about details, plans and goals moving forward. I may have resources or referrals to share with you, and we’ll discuss paperwork. Payment will be processed, and if this feels like a good fit, we’ll schedule your next session.

follow-up sessions

Sessions are 60 minutes unless we have arranged otherwise. Under most circumstances, I meet with people weekly. During each session, we will do a check-in regarding your week, discuss successes, challenges and setbacks, and goals moving forward.

paying for counseling

Initial Session: 75 to 90 minutes- $265

60-minute in-office or video counseling session - $175

Clinical Supervision: 60 minutes- $125

Payment is due at the time of service via cash, check or credit card.

I am in-network provider with Premera, Blue Cross, and First Choice Health Network. If I am not in-network with your insurance, I can provide you with documentation to submit to your insurance (“superbill”) for out-of-network reimbursement for our sessions.

Intake Paperwork and Consent Forms

Following your phone consultation, you will receive an invitation to complete intake paperwork online through the secure client portal.

CANCELLATIONS

Cancellations need to be made at least 2 days in advance to avoid paying a fee (the fee is what would normally be paid by you or the insurance company, for the appointment). Insurance cannot be billed for missed appointments.

To ensure full commitment to therapy, I offer video and phone sessions, as well as afternoon and evening appointments.

My psychotherapy practice is small, so when full, I may have limited openings each week for rescheduled appointments. Please keep this in mind as you decide if I am a good fit for you.

Video Counseling (Online)

Online/Video counseling sessions are available for clients who want to work with me and are not local, have difficulty making it to in-person sessions, are out of town, or unavailable to come to the office. This platform can be used on an on-going basis, or when convenient. All that is needed for these sessions is a computer or mobile device, high-speed internet, and a headset (standard earbuds that come with your mobile phone should work just fine).
